Dealing With Criticism

| Thursday 25th January, 2024

Mark Manson (the “not giving a f*ck guy) puts forward the idea that we’ll always have problems, we simply have to take courageous steps and get better problems for ourselves.

I realise how this pertains to external criticism.

You see, we can have the problem of not expressing ourselves, not growing, shrinking back and being invisible all because we fear external criticism.

Or we can say fuck it, express ourselves and give ourselves the better problem of learning to deal with criticism.

Not easy, of course. But if we gather a group of people around us who don’t judge—who uplift, celebrate and support us and our growth—we’ll build the resilience to deal with those situations where people are less supportive. (Or when we face our worst critic – ourselves).
