There’s something about a ukulele. Small, light and cheap.

And they can be played well too…

There are virtuoso recorder players who counteract the argument that the recorder is a beginner’s instrument and has to sound bad. (Check out Lucie Horsch – Concerto Per Flautino for a superb example)

Likewise, ukulele’s seem to have the stigma of being a beginner’s instrument. But they don’t have to be.

There are people playing fingerstyle, clawhammer and even multiple parts in the case of James Hill’s live rendition of “Billie Jean”.
